Playtime @ MIBO!

Part 1: Angel (beagle), Grayson (beagle with light brown markings), Zoey (black cocker-poo), Coco (black mongrel), Cosmo (shih tzu) and Jewel (brown mongrel) all start to get into it. Some more than others!

Part 2: Grayson. Jewel and Zoey are all friends even before coming to MIBO. That's so cool!

Part 3: Shot from another angle; Zoey gets the toy... then gets distracted.

Part 4: From the door, see how they pair up to play! And wait for the end to see where Grayson decides to take a rest :D

Pukama on HomeCare

Pukama was on HomeCare as he just had surgery and was back from the vet's. We were glad to watch over him and Olga while his parents went to work. He actually looks worse than he feels!

We brought Cosmo along to cheer him up. But it seems that they were just not bothered by one another!

Coco

Coco-choco-lata! Like Cocoa, chocolate and latte all in one. She always looks worried when we bring out the camera! We think that it's uncanny that Coco can look like Gideon or Dusty, even when they all come from different countries. X-breeds are one of a kind!

Don't let her sad face fool you - she can be a crazy fireball who talks alot when she's excited! She even has the capacity of helping other dogs and getting into trouble.

She's great playmates with Dusty, Linda and Jewel. She was even a recognised partner in crime with Kopi-O!

Who Me??

She's comical in her own way and a joy to come home to. She's loving and bouncy!

Watch as she has the toy first and Dusty wants it too. But she isn't one to give. Coco gets distracted and Dusty makes a dash for it. Now it's her turn to wait for the toy.

Never a dull moment as they say!

Linda

Ah the story of Linda takes a long time to explain but let's just say that she has her ups and downs. But the ups are more apparent now then the downs :) That's great news for all!

Captivating NOSE and EYES!
She likes to pick a best friend - singular. For a long time, her pal was Chris. But Chris went home and i think she was sad for a period. She was grumpy and moody with all the other dogs. We tried to introduce new friends to her, but she was not taking it.

Even with Phoebe, she was so-so with her.

Recently she met Jewel and this is a break in between their crazy play session seen in the video below. The funny thing about Jewel is that she always takes a few days to warm up to the dogs when she comes and stay. And just when you think she will never get out of her funk, BOOM! She'll explode into antics that keep us laughing! :D

In a Perfect (Feline) World...

Some days, every thing is good! This is one of the rare moments that ALL the cats staying here get along with every one else. It's constantly reassuring them and making them feel secure and safe, so that they come out and relax with the others.

Thank you to all the cats for showing that it is possible: Snowy (white), Whisker (cat looking out window), Pebbles (trying to catch Whisker's tail) and of course our resident cats: Mambo and Baron - for being great hosts!

It's a Cat's Life :D

Puppies Playtime!

Some things just can't be captured in still pictures - movement is far more expressive :) either that or puppies are just too active to be posing for proper photographs. So here are videos of our favourite little ones. The ones above are of Lollie and Koa having a good time in the yard playing by themselves... (p/s: there is no sound, so there's nothing wrong with your speakers!)

And there's even more fun with there are additional playmates! Watch Lollie & Koa go a little crazy when we put Sassy & Virdel in the picture. Lollie is trying to get Sassy to play with her but instead catches the attention of Virdel (who is half her size)!

Virdel & Sassy are really kicking up a storm! Watch as Sassy catches a near miss with the both of them zipping by on either sides... but does that scare her even a little? Heck, no! When everyone is taking a breather, Sassy is gamely teasing Lollie to chase her. Cheeky little girl!

Pebbles - all grown up!

You'll remember Pebbles from here - he was just a baby then! Well, he's all grown up now :)

Here he is enjoying the outdoor scenery - something that he's liked since he was here the last time.

A relaxed moment with a cat furniture.

Here he is caught in the middle of a play session with Mambo... Flying Kick!

We were so delighted when he got on great with our resident kitten, Mambo! (Mambo seem to be making more friends with the cats that come to stay)

We always laugh when they both come out to play and can't get enough of wrestling and rolling on the ground. All in good fun!

Charlie in Lurrrve? :)

I know we're being biased when we post more of one dog than usual... We love Charlie, what can we do?! Especially when he starts behaving more like a teenager than the senior that he really is :P

We find that he likes his own kind - yellow Labrador! Here he is with Yuki; and we think that they have a special relationship :)

As you can see, he simply adores her... both tails are just wagging high and happy! :D Where she goes, he's right there beside her.

Days are never Boring...

When you have Ume around! Or any youngster for that matter!

How do you choose? Toy, playmate, toy...? Why can't we do it all at once! At least that's what Ume tries to do :D

And if you can't get entertainment, find some! Ume is one brave puppy for taking on Phoebe :P

At the Dog Park with Solomon & Ume

It was a bright HOT (34c!!!) morning at the dog park.

Here's (silly) Solomon:
Checking out the dog place.

"A" for effort Solomon! Here he is trying to get someone to play with him.

Why doesn't anyone want to play with me??

I'll just lay here and give you puzzled looks :)

But there's always the big job of sniffing around...

And Ume does it very well!

Don't ask me how or why she got in there!

Or there's also lots of fun in rolling in dirt

And when it's all over - take a break in the shade!

A week of Outings

We do head out! Here are some shots from the past week:

Ume with her grey friend - needless to say everyone ended up all muddy... but very happy!

Trying to pose for a picture is very hard! Even when there is a helping hand - there's just too much going on :)

Ah - what a little food bribe can do.

Swimming day at the beach. The sun was super great that day - "splish splash, here we go!"

Things to do while on the beach: take other dog's toy and refuse to give it back (as seen here with Phoebe)...

... or roll in the good times while hitting the sand :D

Ume

Puppies! We love puppies!
A big warm hello and lots of kisses for this newbie.

When she first arrived, we weren't quite sure if she was going to break out of her shell and start playing. Well, that lasted all of about 10 minutes... then she was off!

As you can see from these pictures she's a playful one! She teases and makes Hamilton chase her round and round the place.

"We're happy and exhausted!" (at least i hope so!)

I got it, I got it! Come take it from me if you can! (video)

Tumbling Time! (video)

Hamilton

Ah what a big big boy... with equally big big eyes :) Welcome back Hammie! Still the happy wiggly Cavalier that we all know and love. We did have some teething issues - literally. But other than that, he's a joy to have. Sometimes just a little too much. Can we bottle it and put it out for retail? :P

"I have stars in my eyes!"

"Mememememe... TAKE me!"

Play time is waaaay more fun with someone else to tumble with! Here's Hammie with Ume having a fun time. (video)
