This is George of the Urban Jungle. He's a 9 year old Norwegian Forest Cat and at first when we met he was all aloof and quiet. I didn't think I would get a great welcome with meows and "I will follow you around"s :) He's a big snuggle kitty and response well to attention given.

Now if only he will let me brush him...

Handsome George!

The toe-sniff test. Phew! I passed :D

An Unlikely Friendship

Some dogs are just not good with others. Roxy is good with all dogs. Linda, not so. So when these 2 come in, we keep them apart. But Roxy has other things in mind:

Like hogging the sofa! But Linda is Queen (or so she thinks!) and also wants the coveted red seat. So what to do?

It's this thing called SHARE. You take that end, and I'll stay on this side. Dogs are amaze us all the time :D Good girls!

As his name goes, Happy is as happy can be! This cutie Pomeranian has a character all of his own. His friend is Ronnie but quite different from him. Happy talks a bit, spins crazy circles, "smiles" at you and is generally a bouncy chap. 君はいい子です!

Ratatouille to Happy: "Dude, you have alot of hair!"

Jolly Holly & Seriously Angel

"Young lady, sit up straight!" But this is how Holly is. The fact that she is sitting still must be given credit for! As mentioned, she is Jolly Holly. Not too difficult for a 7 month old puppy! Everyone is a friend whom she will shower kisses on. Whether they reciprocate is a different matter altogether. But Holly keeps on trying :D

How can you not fall in love with THOSE eyes? Her mama calls them her "Love me more" eyes. Really!

Next to Holly, Angel is looking like a grouch. Nah, she's concentrating hard on the ONE kibble I'm holding behind the camera! How else am I gonna keep her still?! And this is the Beagle who has recently injured her foot and has an official MC from the vet to restrict movement. Well, no one told her!

Maybe this pix can convince the vet? Look at me - I'm STILL as can be!

Mika & Shadow

Meet Mika. Like most (if not all) pugs, she thinks she's Queen of the sofa! She doesn't even care if Phoebe is lying there - we found her sleeping next to Phoebe's butt one night. It was a perfect picture shot. With no camera at hand!
And this is Shadow, Mika's sister: She's cautious, but curious at the same time. As she's only a young puppy, curiosity usually wins. Check out her blurred tail from wagging :) Moments after this, we were pounced on by Shadow.

p/s this post is waaaaaay overdue!

Found a Gem. A Gideon Type.

Sometimes we wander around and chance upon something that is too good not to share! This is Gideon and he's stayed with us before. See what he gets up to with his owners. Great perspective :) Enjoy!

I'm just digging the ants ;)

See more of their works at http://somefreetime.wordpress.com/

Ooooo... this one was very touch and go in the beginning. See Ronnie is as sweet as they come! He's happy to see you, ready for walks, gets along well with the other dogs, adjusts to the routine here... BUT, when he gets in or under anything (shelf, bed, crate, etc.) he becomes Mr Nasty! Do-not-come-near-me-I-will-bite-your-head-off.

We generally let him be (self-preservation mode here) and he snaps out of it just as fast. Never a dull moment.

Watcha' lookin' at bubs'?

Hee hee... that's how we feel about Yugo! Either that or Oh No. As comical as he is - he's nutty and all over that place at once - he can be a yeller!!! Well, mostly when he comes. And when he leaves. Other than that, he's as good as gold in between!

You talkin' about me?? I can hear you , ya know!

Well we like to believe that he loves to come here (YEAH YIPPEE!!! scream!) and he can't wait to go home too (YEAH YIPPEE!!! scream!) :P

She's the one with one up and one down all the time - her ears that is! Compact in size, she can be quite the mover. She either wants to play with you or she's running away cuz she's not too sure. Such a tease! We've been spared a few fingers, but that's only when her mum is around. We count our luck like that :P

Sniff Sniff... what that smell?
(there wasn't anything out of the ordinary, so even I'm curious!)

Lexie & Robbi

Good morning! Such a joy to see these 2 toy poodles every morning. They were quite nervous and worried when they frist came in and it took them a few days to be comfortable in a new space. That cheerful face is Lexie - she's the leader and the more confident of the 2. Her tail wags wags wags when she sees you, as she waits patiently for you to come give her some lovin'.
And this is Robbi: he will follow where Lexie is. If she's there, he's ok. When she's not, he gets the worried look on his face. Even if it's just on the "bed" and she's not there with him :) That's great bonding!

Robbi: "Where's Lexie?"
Lexie: "Where are you?"

They are so well behaved, we gave them the Lounge area all to themselves! :D Well as long as they have each other, it really doesn't matter.

Feeling a little tipsy? Well, that's how I feel when I have to follow this Bulldog gal around! She keeps all the other dogs on their toes with her playful nature and boisterous behaviour!

With Bulldogs, I will confirm that most other dogs (99.9%) will not understand what they are about. Their facial expressions and mannerisms make it challenging for other dogs to figure out what they really mean. Thankfully Tequila is the happy-go-lucky sort :)

But she will get suspicious and growl/bark at strange objects or people (even if they've been the house forever!). Isn't everyone like that? :P

Meet Rico, a 7 month old Black Labrador puppy. At most times, he is just UNSTOPPABLE!

*zip zip zoom zoom chase crash*

Pretty hard to take a good pix of a moving object! So it was decided (for everyone's sanity) to take this youngster out to the beach for a swim. He did so good! :) Natural born swimmer, give or take a few stumbles.

Though he's good with playing with almost all dogs, he loves Phoebe the most. Correction: LOVES PHOEBE. Phoebe however, can do without someone chasing her heels all the time.

Can you feel the love? :P

Chicky & Milky

Bunnies! Yes, we do they the occasional special guest at MIBO. In this case, there are 2!

Chicky is laid back and as easy as pie. She won't spring any surprises on you, which is good for handling and giving cuddles to :)

Chicky's Mugshot

Milky, on the other hand, is always thinking about something. A way to escape mostly! You crack the door open and she's on it in a jiffy!

But she's also very animated and curious. She will follow you to see what you are up to. Or if you have any food coming her way!

Only in X-Large can you appreciate the true beauty of The Solomon. Or Solly as we like to call him :) This boy has been with us for a while now and we fully understand what he likes/dislikes.

Likes: Phoebe, putting saliva on you, snuggles and a big ole' bone.
Dislikes: Boy doggies, smaller doggies (that kind of is alot of dogs!), being brushed or wiped!

He's as silly as you can imagine. Hey, his best friend is Phoebe. Nuff' said :D

Sometimes it takes a while to figure out how it works (again). Toby has been here before and it's quite exciting to see how he has grown. He's not afraid of Phoebe and loves people... but how does he react to CATS?

Well, Mambo in this case (who is quite a wuss is you ask me!). They were both curious and cautious, but were equally entertained just observing each other. Haha. A good day for sure!

I'm so cool (and cute)!

Joey & Linda

Reasons why I love what I do: J.O.E.Y. :D If you were lucky to have met this labradoodle boy while he was here, isn't he just THE BEST DOG?! (sorry Phoebe)

He's super chilled, happy and easygoing all the time. Always game for playtime, but also good when it's time to relax. Of course he will choose the best seat in the house :D Check out that big grin!

As testament to his great temperament and personality, his best playmate is Linda. Yes LINDA!

Ah Miss Linda, as we (owner and me) like to say, always a work in progress! But we are always thrilled when she finds a "new best friend". It's looking to be a male friend most of the time!

Here Linda shows the main room with Phoebe (which thankfully she doesn't mind one bit!). Good sized areas to lounge and pose.

Why Board at MIBO?

- Cage-free environment with separate areas for different personalities and temperaments.
- There's always someone at home.
- Dogs are able to potty indoors or outdoors, with no restrictions or penalties
- Rates quoted are by general breed size, not weight. So there's no worry if you have a slightly more indulgent cocker spaniel. He/She is still a cocker spaniel in our eyes :)
- Rates quoted are all inclusive with no charges for the following:

> Daily walks
> Food and all bowls provided. Complimentary preparation for Home Cooked Food. BARF diets welcome.
> Administration of medications or applications of topical preparations.
> Treatment spray for fleas and ticks with Accurate when checking in.
> Baths before checking out.
> No holiday surcharges, except across Chinese New Year.
