Harry & Mia

As different as Night and Day: that's Harry and Mia to the T. Harry is (according to the owner), "cute and sometime cranky. Loves to sleep on you, had a bad life prior to us and is very scared of people generally so likes to be left alone."

He's a funny fella; sometimes loving, sometimes threatening to chomp on your hand. But an overall good guy :)

Mia, on the other hand, is, "the cutest little pup in ever. Loves to snuggle up on pillows and play. Sneeky little girl who will steal your food if you don’t watch her."

Well, we haven't had to see her steal food in the longest time, but it is agreed that she is the cutest :D

Ronnie (Transit)

Looking at his happy cheerful face, we struggle to think back when he first came to us in 2011: we could not get him out of a crate or out from under the bed. Now he's excited to come to you and the leash is his (and our) friend.

Ronnie is staying while he completes the rabies requirement before going home to Japan. We will enjoy his company till he flies off. Maybe he will learn to play with the other dogs. Maybe not :)

Buster

He is the one that will keep you on your toes. Whether he's left alone, or when the rains are coming, he gets needy regardless. He will be happiest being tied to your feet =) He's a crazy nutter, but we secretly love his anxious ways.

Hazel

She's a mommy's girl, that's for sure. She was a little worried when her mommy left, but that was the worst of it. Hazel found her comfort spot next to the bed... The 2 leggeds bed that is! Sneaky girl :D

Mindy

Dear Miss Mindy, she's shy this time around. That's the humdrum side of growing up! She's a big girl now, no longer wants to roll with the crazy younger ones. That actually sounds like she's got it all figured out!

Jazz

Jazz is like all Cavalier King Charles Spaniels... Always happy without any worry. He loves everyone and tries to be with them to check out what is happening! Some may not appreciate his overwhelming friendliness, but he never feels rejected. He simply carries on to his next friend.

La-la-la-la :D

Didi

Didi is very much loved by his family, and we're quite sure he had no idea what was going on when they dropped him off for his short stay! Thankfully, they packed all his creature comforts, which included a big Mickey Mouse stuffed toy :) Whatever helps makes the stay better, is always welcome!

Molly

Wow, with Molly looking at you like this, have you lost track of what you were thinking? Huh, sorry, what did you just say? Molly is one of the dogs that we would sincerely say that we wished did not have to stay here. Really, truly.

You see, she really has to go home to be with her family, but has to wait on medical tests before she can leave. So while she's with us and part of her family is far away, we try to be her home in the meantime. (Molly is enjoying the use of our exclusive lounge!)

And here's her parting look! Dear Miss Molly!

Lifetime Care

We also offer retirement for dogs that have special needs or they are getting older and the owner is unable to provide for them.

For your dogs that you can no longer care for due to old age, illness or change in circumstances of the caregiver, MIBO can work with you to provide care and companionship to live out their lives with the dignity they deserve.

Dogs eligible for Lifetime Care:
  • typically are 10 years or older (age criteria may vary depending on breed/size); long-term and perpetual care planning is available for younger dogs
  • have no history of aggression
  • have experienced or are about to experience a disruption in their lives due to change in health, and well-being
  • have care needs that can no longer be adequately provided
  • may face health and/or mobility challenges
  • are typically considered by an animal shelter or humane society to be “unadoptable” due to age, mobility, or state of health
Prices for Lifetime Care are quoted on a case-by-case basis. Full payment upfront is required for 12 months and any unused portion during this period will be returned to you (no further payments are required for their stay thereafter).

While we were in recovery...

We (or rather, I) had a minor procedure done recently and had to be given home rest. What the doctor doesn't know is that the biggest action happens at home! Here are some of the ones who provided company and uplifting entertainment :)

Daisy - How can you not smile when this crazy gal gives you one of the biggest grins just by looking in her direction? :D

Prudence - She moves with a purpose, and even though she may look slow to you, she will get what she wants. This is Pru spotting her wet dog look!

Miki - Always up for a game with the other dogs. She loves playing with >

Haggis - He's been known as one of the best puppy nannies around. So giving and loving with everyone!
