Henry

Well Henry is now in USA after spending some time at MIBO. Catching the last few weeks of Asian sunshine, the boy is one happy chap! 

He doesn't fancy the thunderstorms (neah, we neither). And he just loves to know that there is someone around the corner. He would let a howl rip, just to make sure you are there!

The house is quieter now, but we strangely miss his cheerful antics. 

Mika & Shadow

Mika (that's her) is one pug who takes her time getting to know you. She's likes to stay back and watch you. But hey, if you have any food bits, she's your best friend :P 

This is Mika's sister, Shadow. We remember when she was just a puppy (see here!); wow, time flies! Shadow is cautious when she first sees any dog. Even strangers send her into a corner with a low growl. But that's just her nerves talking. Even with an unfamiliar camera in her face, she cowers to Mika for support.

But just her some time and space and she visibly relaxes. When she knows you , you will be her Mika and she will come to you for reassurance :)

Hershey

When Hershey's owners are around, you cannot approach to touch her or even get the pass over (where the owner passes the dog to you). She's very protective and will enforce a nip if you try! We only mention this, cuz we always forget!!! At all the other times, she's so good, you'd think she was a different dog!

Really? Does this face look vicious? :P

Yes she is as sweet as she looks and she has no problem with the other dogs, which makes her a fine addition anytime.

We like to call this the "moo face" - don't know why, it just has a nice ring to it!

Coffee

For some dogs, it gets easier after a few times. Well, Coffee tends to be slower to settle in, especially for his first day.  Yes, even though he's stayed with us a few times, he will wait by the door and keep a lookout for his owners. When it's really quiet, you can barely hear him let out a single whine. 

But with a good night's rest, the next day is always a better day. He reverts back to his cheerful self, like what you see here! :)

Dougal

Trying to keep this Westie still for a shot is quite hard to day the least! He's ready to be bouncing in search of his next game. Which is all good with us cuz he plays well with the others... although he still needs to figure out the signs for "enough"! 

A good blend of playful and independent, Dougal is growing up and getting better at listening :) *sniff* Am like a proud parent.

Brinley

Always a learning curve with new ones that come to stay: Brinley is as well mannered as they get. However she gets quite nervous when left alone. Or when there are thunderstorms approaching.

A little more exercise got her to calm down and settle in better the follow days. As a 7 year old gal, she's really smart and got the hang of the routine really quickly!

 

With a face like that, you can't help but tell her everything is going to be all right. That, and the occasional lure of food. She is a Cocker Spaniel after all!

Nayla

A Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy: Need I say more? :) Nayla is one of those dogs that we fall in love with quite instantaneously. Biased, yeaaaaah, probably!

HELLLLOW!

How's this for a young puppy - she actually does stay still! But don't be fooled. She really loves to play with the smaller dogs. Never mind that her legs are all too long for her and end up all over the place chasing after them!

 

Am just waiting her for my mom...

Retriever Rolling Good Times

One is good: More is better. I THINK that's what they would say about retrievers! They all look at each other and go: "Oh it's you again" Even the non-retrievers are getting in on the calmness :)

Lena

Can you believe that this was Lena just 2 years ago? Time sure flies and we are so thrilled to have her stay again.

Nothing much has changed! She still the happy wiggly bum with a snake dance to greet you everytime :D 

Great with most dogs, she's curious when the smaller ones zip past from under her!

Lena: Ok, ok, enough with the praise, can i go to bed now? ;)

Coco. Twister & Shrek (Transit)

 

What a trio! As they prepare for their journey towards the German land, it was great to get to know them. Coco warmed right up to us. She always saves a little dance for us when we see her. Makes us not want to let her leave! :P

Although Twister took some time to show some affection, she was merely being cautious. She doesn't shy away from cuddles if you give her some.

Mr Shrek, on the other hand, was very loving! He calls out to you and at any chance he'll walk right out to see what's happening on the other side. You can barely see him in this picture due to the light conditions - but he was trying to push past the camera to get OUT!
