Becoming Friends

Some things are easy to take for granted, like the ability to find a buddy amidst the group of dogs. Linda (if you have been follow this blog or our facebook page) is one of those that has a hard time finding a playmate. She likes boys and bigger ones (like a Retriever). So when a fluffy cloud comes in, we have the paranoid mode on. Will she like him, will they get along??

We love to be proven wrong! Three cheers for Linda and Mobi!

Away from the others, Mobi catches a breeze - a very Spitz-y thing to do!

BK & Red

This is Red, you might remember this duo from here. As grouchy as he looks, Red is really nice (it's just the photographer that should be blamed). He will do his own thing and come around when the food is laid down...

After eating, he'll indulge in a little groom session, even if I'm calling for him to pose!

This is my nemesis, BK. And yes, this is about as close as I dare to get to him. Some days he's good and will come to rub up against you. Most days, he just lurks in corners (like what you see here) and waits for you to look the other way before attacking your feet. 

He is stealth. 

He plots his moves. 

He is BK.

Pup

Pup is one of those cats that I always say, "Thank god you look so cute..." Cuz she is just one that is always gonna keep you on your toes! When you are not looking, she will give you a swipe and then growl like you were the one that offended her in the first place!

Am glad for some distraction (in the form of Zohan) that takes Pup's mind off the rest of our appendages!

If this picture had a sound, it would be growling. Really.

Jeep

 

It's been a while since we last saw Jeep and it's nice to meet this sweet gal again. She's always the soft spoken one with a reply to your Hellos. At one glance, you can't tell that this pretty lady is a senior! Cats retain their good looks :)

We wish Jeep all the best in you new adventures - not completely new, but it will be home to familiar spaces many miles across the oceans! Take care gorgeous.

Cookie

Neh!

Well for a one day stay, we actually got a shot of this Shih Tzu! He actually came in a carry bag and was looking like a soft toy in it :) He may have a completely "blur" look, but he really bonds with you even if it's overnight... follow follow follow...

Lucky

So what do you think? Some dogs got a bit of a fright when this much fur walked in! :) Mini lion? Exploded mop? Well when it's as vivacious as Lucky, we really don't mind what he is!

We would say that we have been very lucky (ha ha), as he does get along with all the other dogs that were here. We've been told that he sometimes doesn't hit it off with a few dogs, but we never saw that happen :)

Lucky and Coco are good friends, so it was really nice to see them get crazy happy when they met each other here :D It's always fun to have someone you know!

Wawa

Wawa is a senior Yorkie that is as easy going as can be. He will calmly retreat into his crate during night time (and even food time) to have his "me" space. This is Wawa under the shelf that also makes for a good shelter area!

Then he gets curious with this oblong object (camera) in his face and starts to get nosy at it. "What'cha got there?"

At this angle, his ears are huge, don't you think? And that makes his awesomely cute too!

Skippy

Skippy says HI! For the few moments that she can sit still, it was good that we managed to capture these shots. She's always a go-go-go! That's quite natural in a Cairn Terrier. At least in the ones that we know of :P

Skippy is such a sweetheart. She makes friends wherever she goes. You'll soon meet one of her friends, Wawa, in the next post :)

Chopper

Like all puppies, Chopper is one young one that is difficult to keep still! But we have learnt that usually if you let them play to their hearts content, they will eventually slow down. Somewhat.

And so he does - in front of the fan. He's more of a fan hogger if you ask me ;)

Playful as he is, Chopper has had to learn that no all dogs are up for a game everytime! That's growing up for you. And he's managed pretty well with good manners throughout.

Here we go again,

Serang

Serang has got to be one of the nicest cats  to stay here :) He such a super chilled and relaxed boy that even having to pill him twice a day is a breeze. A joy even! He's doesn't mind when the other cats come up to his space and check the newcomer. And when he does get to have a stroll in the room (quite often - that's what good cats get) he just like to lie there and enjoy his moment of freedom.

What's not to love! :D
