Bebe

For as long as we have done this, you would think that there was nothing much that could surprise us. Then came along a cat named Bebe. She's the shyest cat that we've ever met! Usually after a few days, most (all) cats come out of their shell and show their natural self (and that can range from being very nice & loving to erm... not so nice and loving?)

We were sad that Bebe was still hiding after the few days, we had to get some cuddles to her. As you can see she's not so into the forced loving. 

This is her standard pose - she's always hiding her head! Awww...

 

But she slowly warmed up to the attention and rested comfortably :)

Mindy

As far as puppies go, Mindy has got to be one of the cutest baby. Ever! She's wonderfully social and good with the other dogs. Even by herself, she manages to make us laugh :D

Soda

This is Soda's first stay with us and she was quite shy in the beginning. And she was not sure what to make of the other cats who popped their curious faces to check out the new comer. But true to what her owner said, she likes the human attention.

Once out of her crate, she gives a good lengthy stretch and check that her toy duck is all ok. She's such a gorgeous cat too!

Sonja

This "manja" girl starts out her stay trying to be grumpy, but give her a little time and she will be so loving to you. She calls for you when she sees anyone!

MEOW!

 She's even ok with other cats. She doesn't mind them hanging around her space!

Kara (& Haggis)

Meet Kara, a playful 7 month old Japanese Spitz puppy. She's always up for teasing the other dogs! She runs right up to them and tries to get them to play. And when she doesn't get the response that she wants, she barks at them to get their attention. 

Remember Haggis? We just knew that these 2 would be the perfect playmates for each other!

Codie

In love with this senior girl! Codie is in her own little world: puppies run circles around her and she doesn't bother with them. She's happiest in the garden wandering and giving everything a good sniff. If this grand dame barks (more like a muffled wuff), she wants something!

Haggis

Wrestling!

And what a cute face too. He's easily one of the nicest dogs to stay. And we appreciated his self entertaining and engaging manners with everyone else.

Cookie & Milko

They seem to love looking out the window - watching the world go by!

Looking nice and relaxed, there wasn't a hint of hissing this time :)

Although curious about the other cats, they are more content to stick with each other. So Loving!

Sumo

His Royal Meowster! He's so good natured, we (try) to let him get away with everything. He doesn't mind the other cats, even when they are face to face with him.

 

You can even carry him around and he's comfortable with that! How's that for a lap cat?

Charlotte

(This is a delayed post - but recalled it!) Watching Charlotte bloom from the first time that she stayed over is like waiting for the sun to rise. It happens ever so slowly, but before you know it, there she is, in all her goofiness!

Outdoors is the best place for Charlotte! She runs and makes silly games with the other dogs :)

Bailey

Perfecting the "hound dog" look comes so easy to Bailey - he IS a hound after all! A Basset and Beagle mix, well, you can't get more hound in a dog :) But he's ever so sweet. We've only heard him bay ONCE. And that was when it was his first day here; easily forgiven!

But like all hounds (actually most dogs) he's a 110% foodie! Here he is waiting nicely for a treat :) A senior at heart, but his eyes light up with food. Classic.

Kayla

As far as puppies go, we love them! It's always a dose of fun and patience as we try to coach them the ways of being a good puppy. It helps that Kayla is very food orientated! :D And she learns quickly that people going up the stairs will eventually come down. Looking forward to having her come back again!

Lucky

Hallmark of a crazy face, haha! Lucky is quite the toy fanatic. He loves balls and squeaky toy. His coat is quite easy to manage, so don't let all that hair scare you.

Hmmm... maybe that's why Max and him get along. They belong in the stylin' hair club!

Yarah & Shadow

My 2 favourite gals - as different as night and day! Yarah is so laid back it's hard to get her going. Food usually works with these 2.

Shadow loves the outdoors. Being wet and in the sun makes her day complete.

No pool of water is too small for her!

 After all the splashing, Shadow cleverly seeks out the shade to watch the world go by.
